Happy almost Thanksgiving, friends!
I finished finals for my Theology and Theology & the Arts classes this past Thursday, Hallelujah! Theology and the Arts was everything I hoped it’d be and more. At some point I’ll write about it, but today is not that day as we all hurry into this week’s festivities. I’m here to announce what’s coming from KTW Studio this Christmas!
1. Paintings coming soon!
Collection No. 3: “Body & Soul” will be released Friday, December 9, at 11 a.m. EST on ktw-studio.com.
I was journaling one morning (as I do every morning) about a year ago, when I wrote something about a “disconnect” between my heart and my mind. And then it occurred to me: my heart is, in fact, not a thinking mechanism. Whatever I’m attributing to my metaphorical heart actually lives in my head, along with my mind.
This was the start of a long question I’ve held about what’s happening between heart and mind, body and soul, visible and invisible — within me and within the Body of Christ as a whole. “As word gives body to thought, so does Jesus give visible expression in the world to the invisible power and presence of God.”1 (As a preview — we talked a LOT about this in Theology & the Arts class.)
“Body & Soul” is exploring that relationship between the visible and invisible — just in time for Advent, where we celebrate our invisible God making himself visible, born of his own creation. About 20 paintings will launch Friday, 12/9 at 11am EST, and ship the next week!
2. Prayer books are back!
Available to order now — they’ll ship the week of Dec. 12!

The redesigned Book of Common Prayer is back, and it’s getting a facelift! This edition will feature a darker green cover with gold foil stamping. I’ve sold out of these several times, so grab them while they’re available! They’re available now at ktw-studio.com — you’re welcome for the world’s easiest gift idea. 😘
Because y’all are my nearest and dearest, use code BCP15 at checkout for 15% off yours today through Friday!
3. Bonus: Ornaments!
I’ve had it in my head to turn used lightbulbs into ornaments ever since the hard-to-recycle-materials place in Atlanta couldn’t take them. In a burst of play and a (genetic) love for ornaments, I started dipping them into leftover house paint, drizzling and marbling them, and now will have 25 unique ornaments available for Christmas!
These will be available on ktw-studio.com at the same time as my paintings: Friday, 12/9 at 11am EST. While supplies last, I’ll include an ornament with purchases of paintings 24x36” and up!
I’m incredibly grateful for each and every one of you who enable and encourage me to do this work. Have a wonderful week with your families and friends, and a happy, happy thanksgiving!
